Spencer Cahoon is a thoughtful and dedicated supporter of Bexley. He has spent a lot of time learning about the needs of our community and helping to make it better. He is smart and collaborative yet isn't afraid to confront issues. I know he will do a great job of representing all our needs on City Council. — Tim Hopmann
Spencer is one of the rarest things in politics, a good and honest man. I don't live in Bexley and so I cannot comment on his position on any of the issues. But, maybe that's good because instead, I can focus on who Spencer is as a person. I have known Spencer as a friend and colleague for over a decade and as a result I trust his judgment, his compassion for his fellow man, his deep seated belief in justice, and his iron willed determination to do what is right and not merely what is easy. As a lawyer, I can tell you Spencer has a formidable intellect—he will not be fooled by fast talk or swayed by propaganda masquerading as evidence. As a friend, I can tell you that he will honor his word and strive to do what is right. I would unhesitatingly vote for Spencer Cahoon for any office which he chooses to seek. As I cannot do so here, I instead offer my full throated endorsement. — Kelly Cook

When we elect leaders, we look for more than just credentials. We look for character, commitment, and a proven dedication to making our community stronger, fairer, and more inclusive. Spencer embodies all of this and more. He is not just running for office - he’s answering a lifelong call to serve, fight for justice, and build a Bexley where everyone has a seat at the table. As a public defender for over a decade, Spencer dedicated his career to ensuring the most vulnerable among us had their stories heard and their rights protected. This profound commitment to fairness and active listening didn't end in the courtroom. It fuels his tireless community work. His training with the Bexley Citizen Police Academy, CERT, and Green Bootcamp, combined with his board service for the Whitehall-Bexley Rotary and statewide advocacy with Ohio Families Unite for Political Action and Change (OFUPAC), demonstrate a readiness to serve and protect our community in multiple capacities. Spencer’s background in accounting and data analytics isn't just academic, it translates to a sharp eye for responsible budgeting and a drive for data-driven solutions. He puts this into action, securing grants for vital projects and advocating successfully with the City Council and the Board of Education for meaningful policy changes and legislation that benefit residents. Spencer’s journey, from helping families transition out of homelessness to fighting for justice as a public defender to his deep community advocacy reveals a consistent thread - a passion for people-centered service and a relentless drive to fight for everyone, every day. His unique blend of compassion, legal expertise, fiscal acumen, and analytical skills is precisely what effective governance demands. Spencer understands Bexley because he lives, works, volunteers, and raises his family in Bexley. He listens deeply, builds bridges, and has a proven track record of turning advocacy into tangible achievements that strengthen our community for everyone. He is the articulate, fair, dedicated, and effective leader Bexley needs, and he has the experience, the values, and the proven commitment to build a stronger, more inclusive, and more vibrant future. — Dana Fleetham
